Terms and Conditions of Membership:
Membership is only available to those aged 16 and over.
Membership is issued on the basis that the applicant is in a medically satisfactory condition.
The centre manager or appropriately appointed person(s) has the right to gain medical approval or medical confirmation in writing that the applicant may exercise without limitations before accepting the application.
It is the applicant’s responsibility to inform the centre of any medical conditions that may restrict the member from exercising without limitations before the application is approved.
It is the member’s responsibility to inform the centre manager of any change in medical condition(s) during the entire period of an individual’s membership.
The management company and JLR accept no responsibility for injury, illness or death caused by an individual exercising whilst deemed medically unfit to do so.
Membership is available to all employees within the JLR and AML groups whether contracted to full time, Part time or short-term contracts.
Associated membership may be available at the discretion of the centre manager and the authorisation of JLR to those who are employed for longstanding contractors such as catering, cleaning etc
Membership for short term outside contractors may be available at the discretion of the centre manager and the authorisation of JLR. If this is agreed then the individual will be required to make payment in advance for a maximum period of three months at a time. Membership for Local Residents of the area is now also permitted.
Approved applicants must undergo a supervised induction of all equipment permitted for use by members within the well-being centre.
Applications may choose not to undergo a supervised induction but only on the completion of the appropriate disclaimer form and this form being duly signed by the applicant and the club manager. There after this event the contract management company and JLR or parties acting on their behalf cannot be held responsible for injury caused by improper use or poor techniques whilst using any equipment supplied for use to the members.
If after the initial induction, any new equipment is installed, it is the member’s responsibility to ask for instruction to the proper use of the machine. The contract management company and JLR or parties acting on their behalf cannot be held responsible for injury caused by improper use or poor techniques whilst using any new equipment supplied for use by the members after the initial registration period.
In the interest of those utilising the club the contract management company are obliged to provide to all individuals with accident, emergency and fire procedures and to inform all individuals of the nearest first aid point and first aid appointed person(s).
In the interest of those utilising the club the contract Management Company are obliged to adhere and where appropriate take action in order to meet the appropriate Health and Safety requirements stated by JLR.
The contract management company and JLR will not be held responsible for accidents or injury of any nature caused by the member’s ignorance or misinterpretation.
Membership must be terminated by the existing member should the employee leave the company for any reason e.g. retirement, redundancy, ill health.
Should a member wish to terminate their membership they must do so in writing giving at least one months notice to the centre manager who will in turn instruct the appropriate parties to terminate the collection of membership fees.
Due to administration procedures it may be necessary to allow more than one months notice but not more than two months notice for the termination of membership fees to be processed and conducted.
Membership fees collected by JLR or associated companies via payroll; salaries or wages cannot be terminated without prior consent of the club manager or appropriately appointed person(s).
Membership fees collected by JLR or associated companies via direct debit cannot be terminated without prior consent of the centre manager or appropriately appointed person(s).
Membership may be withdrawn from any individual in the event of abuse or misconduct relating to the use of the facility, persons within or any associated events.
The centre manager reserves the right to immediately terminate membership for the non-compliance of these terms and conditions.
It may become necessary to update these current terms and conditions and this will be done so with the agreement of the club contract management company and the appropriate representative(s) within JLR.
A copy of the present version of these terms and conditions can be obtained by writing to the centre Manager.
Please note – when an introductory membership offer is valid, the same member cannot re-join a second time on the same offer, or join on the next introductory offer.
If WoodLand offers a membership where the joining fee is wavered and a free month is offered, a cancellation cannot be accepted until after 3 months of the offer.
Please note that you are being monitored by CCTV whilst in the ground floor entrance and when on poolside – this is for users safety only and data is not recorded.
Please note that when using the pool you must not dive as the depth is only 1.2m and the pool is not lifeguarded.
